CES Set to Appear at Europe’s Largest Fleet Event

At a glance

Renewable energy company CES will exhibit at Fleet & Mobility Live, Europe's largest fleet event, at the NEC Birmingham on October 6 and 7. This marks CES's first appearance at the event, driven by increasing demand from operators looking to electrify their fleets. The event is a key platform for businesses to explore efficient fleet management and new technologies.

Renewable energy specialists CES will be exhibiting at the upcoming Fleet & Mobility Live event next month - after a successful debut at the Road Transport Expo (RTX).

The company will appear alongside a host of other companies at the major UK trade exhibition, which is Europe’s largest fleet event, at the NEC Birmingham on October 6 and 7. It will be the first time CES has exhibited at the event, with the appearance driven by growing demand from operators looking to electrify their fleets.

The event brings together experts and teams from across the industry, and is a place where firms can display new products and learn about new technologies. It’s also the go-to event for businesses to find out more about how they can run their fleets more efficiently.

CES made its RTX debut earlier this year with staff meeting a host of transport firms making the move to electrify their fleets.

CES managing director, Joe Collison said: “Since RTX we’ve had lots of positive discussions with fleet operators and businesses across the industry that are making the switch to electric. There’s clearly lots of demand and it’s for this reason that we have decided to attend Fleet & Mobility Live this year.

“Operators are more than curious about electrification, they are planning for it now and it was great to see so many people coming to us at RTX looking to start the process.

“For some we were the first company they’d spoken to about commercial charging installation and funding schemes available, so we were able to offer them tangible advice based on our experience.

“Our expertise means we’re able to work with businesses that are looking to make the switch to electric fleets from the very start of the process from navigating funding applications through to site design, charger installation and ongoing support.

“We really are a one-stop shop and we’re looking forward to meeting more businesses at Fleet & Mobility Live who may be in need of a delivery partner like us.”

How CES can help your business

CES delivers end-to-end commercial EV charging solutions for fleet depots, logistics operations, manufacturing sites and workplaces across the UK. The company’s in-house team manages the full process, including site surveys, layout designs, capacity assessments, distribution network operator (DNO) engagement, charger installation, commissioning and ongoing support.

The company can act as an advisory before fleet operators commit to vehicles themselves, starting the conversation around the capital and operating costs of depot charging so businesses can make informed investment decisions.

CES can also help businesses navigate the funding landscape, including the Depot Charging Scheme, the Plug-in Truck Grant and wider zero-emission vehicle support.

Applications for the first phase of DCS funding closed in June but further support is coming. The second phase of the DCS is expected to open from 28 October 2026 and will run until 29 January 2027.

The company also manages grid capacity assessments, DNO engagement, infrastructure planning, project cost planning and the integration of battery storage and solar.

CES has established itself as an expert in renewable energy systems and decarbonisation projects, completing several notable projects including flagship DAF dealerships in Leeds and Leicestershire and a recent BYD showroom conversion in Trench, Telford.

Editorial insight

CES’s participation in Fleet & Mobility Live signals ongoing interest among UK fleet operators in the practicalities of electrification. While the company’s presence follows a positive reception at the Road Transport Expo, the decision to exhibit at Europe’s largest fleet event is rooted in a clear uptick in enquiries from businesses considering the transition to electric vehicles. This reflects a business environment where fleet decarbonisation is moving from discussion to active planning, driven by both regulatory pressures and operational interest.

For fleet managers attending the event, the availability of direct advice on commercial charging infrastructure and funding options may be especially timely, given recent changes to government support schemes and the operational challenges of electrifying larger fleets. The event’s focus on efficiency and new technology provides a practical forum for companies like CES to engage with operators at the early stages of their transition, offering guidance on both technical and financial considerations.
