Chateau Chic: Angel Strawbridge and Terrys Fabrics Join Forces for Exclusive Interiors Collection

At a glance

Angel Strawbridge has launched a new fabric collection inspired by her Chateau, available exclusively at Terrys Fabrics. The collection blends French heritage with Strawbridge's unique style, offering designs that suit both classic and modern interiors. This collaboration, which took 18 months to develop, aims to bring chateau-inspired charm to British homes.

Angel Strawbridge is bringing Chateau-inspired grandeur to British homes in a new fabric collection available exclusively at Terrys Fabrics.

Drawing on the colour, character and majesty that have become synonymous with Angel’s unmistakable style, Escape to the Chateau offers homeowners an easy way to introduce a little chateau-inspired charm into their own interiors. The collection combines French heritage with Angel’s distinctive style and a timeless, contemporary palette, creating fabrics with their own personality that can feel equally at home in classic and modern interiors.

Angel Strawbridge said: “What has been really exciting about this collection is that although the inspiration is unmistakably The Chateau, the finished collection feels quite different to anything I’ve designed before.

“I’ve been working on it with Terrys for around 18 months, and I’ve loved the process. They have an incredible amount of knowledge about fabric and interiors and, importantly, they understand what colours actually work in people’s homes. But they’ve also really understood me and the stories I wanted to tell. It has felt like a proper collaboration, taking those initial ideas and working together until we had something that felt really special.”

Across the six-strong collection, many of the designs have a direct connection to The Chateau’s history. La Corde du Chateau, which is available in three colourways, takes inspiration from an original wallpaper discovered in the attic, reimagined by Angel for today. Similarly, The Lace Flower draws on the intricate beauty of 18th-century French lace and the decorative richness found throughout The Chateau. It is available in three colours: Bleue, Rose and Blanc.

But Angel’s inspiration is not found solely in the past. The gardens and everyday life at The Chateau provide a wealth of ideas too. Wisteria of the Orangerie captures the beautiful wisteria that welcomes visitors to the Orangerie, while Ivy Trellis reflects the ivy that winds its way through the grounds. And, of course, The Chateau’s magnificent wildlife is celebrated in L’Oiseau du Chateau or ‘Bird of The Castle’, which is available in four colourways.

Completing the collection is a distinctive woven jacquard, inspired by the ornate finial from the bed featured in The Chateau’s Honeymoon Suite. Its rich texture and decorative detail bring another layer of depth to the collection, while helping to connect the individual designs into one cohesive story.

Gareth Coxall, Creative Director of Terrys Fabrics, said: “Escape to the Chateau is a collection steeped in history and brought to life through Angel Strawbridge’s unmistakable love of design, pattern and storytelling.”

The new Escape to the Chateau Collection by Angel Strawbridge is available exclusively at Terrys Fabrics. Prices start at £22.99 per metre*.
