Kevin Holmes takes on group-wide leadership of Tom Howley, Neville Johnson, and London Door Company - building on his successful leadership of Tom Howley.

BHID Group has announced the promotion of Kevin Holmes to Chief Executive Officer, with responsibility for the Group’s three leading interiors brands: Tom Howley, Neville Johnson, and London Door Company.

Kevin joined BHID Group in August 2025 as Managing Director of Tom Howley, bringing extensive experience in business transformation, strategic growth, operational leadership, and brand development. His previous senior roles include Transformation Director at Glen Dimplex, Managing Director of Dimplex UK, and Managing Director of Morphy Richards.

Since joining Tom Howley, Kevin has worked closely with the business’s functional leaders to set its strategic direction and deliver strong commercial and operational performance. He has also demonstrated a clear commitment to developing the team, building on the brand’s established reputation for exceptional British craftsmanship, quality, and customer service.

His promotion recognises the contribution he has made to Tom Howley and reflects BHID Group’s confidence in his leadership as the business continues to develop the potential of its portfolio of premium interiors and design brands.

His appointment as CEO coincides with Neville Johnson’s 40th anniversary, and Kevin will help drive the brand’s next phase of growth while honouring its heritage.

As CEO, Kevin will lead the Group’s strategic direction, working with the leadership teams across all three brands to support their continued development, strengthen performance, and identify opportunities for growth - while preserving the distinctive identities and expertise of each brand.

Additionally, Sonia Davies, formerly Executive Chair of BHID Group, will continue to play an important role in the business, working alongside Kevin as she transitions into a Non-Executive Chair role.

“I’m delighted to see Kevin appointed as CEO of BHID Group. I’ve seen first-hand the leadership, enthusiasm and strategic vision he has brought to the continued growth and evolution of Tom Howley. I’m excited for him to bring that same energy and ambition to Neville Johnson. I look forward to supporting Kevin and the wider leadership team as we embark on this exciting next chapter for the Group” comments Davies.

Kevin Holmes, CEO of BHID Group, said: “I’m delighted to take on this role and lead BHID Group. Each of our brands has its own heritage, strengths, and relationship with its customers, underpinned by talented craftspeople and a shared commitment to quality and service. My priority is to build on those strong foundations, working with our teams to ensure each business continues to evolve in response to customer needs and market opportunities. That means investing in our people, continually improving the customer experience, and thinking differently about how we grow - while staying true to what makes each brand special. I’m excited about what we can achieve together across Tom Howley, Neville Johnson and London Door Company.”

Kevin’s appointment comes at a time of continued evolution across the premium home interiors market.

In an interview with kbbreview in April 2026, he outlined his ambitions for Tom Howley, including enhancing the customer journey, exploring new ways to reach customers beyond the traditional showroom network, and developing the brand’s offering across other areas of the home. His approach combines a focus on the fundamentals of premium brands - design, craftsmanship, quality and personal service - with a willingness to embrace innovation, technology and new ways of working.

In his new role, Kevin will bring this perspective to the wider BHID Group, supporting the continued success of its brands and their long-term development.

Editorial insight

This leadership transition comes at a time when premium interiors brands are navigating a market shaped by changing consumer expectations and ongoing demand for personalisation and quality. Kevin Holmes’s move to the top role at BHID Group follows a period of strong performance at Tom Howley, positioning him to oversee the group’s established brands as they look to build on their reputations for craftsmanship and service.

For clients and partners of BHID Group, the appointment signals continuity in brand values alongside a focus on adapting to market opportunities. Holmes’s background in strategic growth and transformation is relevant as the group seeks to balance its heritage with the need to respond to evolving customer preferences and competitive pressures within the home interiors sector.
